|
|
TMonitor 1.01 is available. TMonitor is aimed to display the active clock of each individual core of Intel Core 2 and Core i7 processors.
|
A very high refresh rate (20 times per second) allows to visualize the smallest clock variation in real time.
TMonitor is able to detect mechanism such as Intel Turbo Boost Technology,
and therefore allows to clearly visualize its effect as the processor is working.

|
The first samples of Intel future hexa-core processors have already reached the
overclockers community. Two models exist : a Xeon codenamed "Westmere-EP" (shown
on that screenshot), and an Extreme Edition version codenamed "Gulftown" that has
no branding yet.
These processors include a shared 12-MBytes L3 cache. The Xeon version has a TDP of 95W,
and a clock frequency of 2.4GHz (2.53GHz max with turbo). The XE version has a TDP of 130W,
the same clock frequency, and a max Turbo frequency of 2.66GHz.
